Chris Fawcett, founder and principal of Third Marble Marketing, didn’t set out to create the ONLY firm in Richmond to make the TOP 100 SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION FIRMS LIST. To hear him tell it, he was picking up a pizza at his favorite shop and got into a conversation with the owner about websites.

That chance meeting resulted in Chris agreeing to build a website for the shop owner. While the shop owner was pleased with the site, as time passed he realized he wasn’t getting phone calls prompted by visits to his online presence. Chris’ answer, “Having a website without advertising it is like printing business cards and not handing them to anyone.”

And that was the start of Third Marble Marketing with Chris’ vow to help small, local business owners grow their businesses by delivering an affordable internet marketing strategy that successfully creates customers, NOT just “traffic”. That worked for the pizza shop … and triggered by word-of-mouth among other small business owners coupled with Chris’ diligence in telling his story … Third Marble prospered!

So, here we are a decade later celebrating an outstanding achievement in helping small businesses thrive while creating jobs and revenue benefitting Third Marble, its employees as well as Chesterfield County. Significantly, 15 full-time employees are dedicated to Third Marble customers’ success and deliver on that promise from a newly occupied suite of offices in a Class A office building – The Boulders.

On February 27 of this year, the Chesterfield Chamber partnered with Third Marble in a Ribbon Cutting ceremony celebrating the company’s accomplishments and recent move to their impressive new office.

The evening event was well-attended by the Chesterfield Chamber along with Third Marble friends, customers and employees. Refreshments included a variety of drinks, “finger-food” and Third Marble team member, Liz Morrow’s (now famous) home-made pulled pork. By the way, Liz is enthusiastically credited as the driving force in coordinating all elements to make the celebration a success.
