David Winigrad is the artist behind Contemporary Whirligigs Kinetic Wind Sculpture ( whirligigcraft.com
). Each one-of-a-kind, handcrafted, fully-functional whirligig brings together the beauty of fine woodworking wit h the charm and whimsy of traditional folk art. Inspired by the wonders of nature, each kinetic wind
sculpture is handcrafted from American hardwood and exotics like ebony and cocobolo. With the turn of a finger or a gentle breeze, these kinetic sculptures transform the mechanical motion of the cam and camshaft into organic movement. Each fine, hand-made whirligig is a unique addition to any arts and crafts collection.
Come out and see David’s work along with other amazing artists’ in November!
